The Alenghat Laboratory and Research Group studies macrophage biology, inflammation, atherosclerosis, and prevention of cardiovascular disease. We focus on the intersection between inflammation and the cardiovascular system and seek to discover basic mechanisms as well as unappreciated connections between different chronic diseases. We research smoldering inflammatory processes in order to understand disease and improve health.
